John Cockerill’s Chinese subsidiary Cockerill Jingli Hydrogen completed the delivery of 24 stacks to Sinopec. With an annual hydrogen generation capacity of 20,000 tons per year, “Kuqa” is the largest solar-powered green hydrogen project in the world.
Sinopec is the Chinese leader in the petrochemical industry. The green hydrogen produced will replace grey hydrogen from natural gas. A total of 52 sets of 5 MW alkaline hydrogen production equipment have been installed for this project. With 24 sets, our subsidiary Cockerill Jingli Hydrogen was the project’s largest supplier, delivering nearly 50% of the total order.
Kuqa project with Sinopec is John Cockerill Hydrogen’s largest Power to Gas reference. John Cockerill is proud to help Sinopec Tahe refinery to reduce the emission of 485,000 tons of carbon dioxide every year.
